About Me and this Blog

I am a high school sophomore, and I’m interested in art and its history. I’ve been drawn to art basically my whole life – looking at it in museums, reading about it in books, finding examples hidden away in churches and old buildings, you name it. I study art history now at my high school, and I plan to continue studying it further in college and beyond. I’d also love to help others to discover or develop a similar passion, particularly other teens and children who, like me, live in an increasingly STEM-dominated community (and era) that places less emphasis on art.

I hope to use this blog to share information about art topics, especially those related to religion and mythology. I plan to discuss artworks local to my area, northern California, and show how those artworks are related to others in the larger world, whether stylistically, thematically, or historically. And I want to encourage people to attend art exhibits and see artworks in museums and elsewhere, especially ones that are only around for a limited time.

Thank you for reading and joining me on my art pilgrimage.
